Pre-Hire and Ongoing Requirements for All Candidates
Before employment and throughout their time with the agency, all candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Background check, including OIG Exclusion List Screening
- 5-panel drug screening
- Two-step TB test and/or blood assay for tuberculosis
- Verification of no history of abuse or neglect
- Review of the driver’s record
- SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) background check
- Completion of initial training and competency validation prior to providing participant care
- Participation in the required annual continuing education
