Nora’s Companions In-Home Care LLC was founded by Nora Jenkins, RN, BSN, Nursing Administrator/Owner. Nora’s clinical practices include the following: Geriatric Nursing in the Nursing Home Setting to include care of Alzheimer’s/Dementia patients, Medical Surgical Nurse Management In-hospital setting, Emergency Nursing Services (ER), Correctional Nursing Administrator for the SC Department of Corrections, Director of Nursing Services, Home Health and Hospice. Nora’s concentration for the past twenty (20) years has been Staff Education/Training and Regulatory Compliance. The past two years have been spent managing her Adult Day Care Center in Bennettsville, SC, caring for adults eighteen (18) and older with chronic illness, special needs, and disabilities in need of a supportive setting, thereby preventing unnecessary institutionalization.

Her undergraduate studies include Marlboro Vocational School, where she received her first nursing degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Northeastern Technical College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Health Science in Nursing, and Florence-Darlington Technical College, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing (RN). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.

Nora is a 2008 Palmetto Gold Recipient. The prestigious Palmetto Gold Awards recognize those nurses in the state of South Carolina who best represent excellence in nursing practice and commitment to the profession.

Nora is a native of Bennettsville, SC. She is a mother of two. Nora loves her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her favorite scripture is Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1. Nora believes that we can touch the lives of others through love, caring, and compassion, for we are commissioned to go out and help those in need. Patient care and service are paramount.
