Attendant Care Services

Need consistent help at home for a loved one with health challenges? Attendant Care Services provides structured assistance for individuals who require regular monitoring and support throughout their daily schedule. This service is especially useful for adults with chronic conditions or physical impairments who need help with movement, meal-related tasks, and overall supervision. Our attendants follow approved service plans to ensure continuity and accountability in care delivery. Nora’s Companions In-Home Care LLC serves Marlboro County and surrounding areas with dependable in-home support designed to help clients function safely and efficiently.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

• Personal Care – Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, personal grooming, and hygiene. This also includes incontinence care, assistance with mobility and positioning, and help with transferring.
• Nutrition – Preparing and serving meals or snacks, cleaning up afterward, and assisting with meal planning. Attendants may also help participants follow special dietary requirements and encourage adherence to prescribed nutrition plans.
• General Housekeeping – Light cleaning, laundry, and other tasks that help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Housekeeping is limited to spaces directly used by the participant, such as their bedroom and bathroom.

Additional Support Includes:

1. Helping with shopping, essential errands, and accompanying the participant to medical appointments. (Attendants are not permitted to provide transportation.)
2. Assisting with communication needs, which may involve placing the phone within reach, helping with phone use, and providing reminders or support for daily routines and orientation.
3. Medication reminders – Notifying the participant when it’s time to take prescribed medication based on instructions from a physician or those labeled on the container.
   
   • Attendants are not responsible for administering medication.
   • They may, however, hand over pre-dispensed medications or containers prepared in advance.

Important Note:
Attendants are authorized to carry out only the duties specified in the Participant Service Plan, as determined by the Case Manager. Some services listed here may not apply to every individual. If new needs arise, they should be communicated to the Case Manager so appropriate adjustments can be made to ensure the participant’s well-being and support.
